Centered on the concept of "emptiness," a nearly all-white space is created within the vessel. A solitary plum branch appears in one corner, while the rest remains as negative space. White is not nothingness—it holds infinite potential. The proud plum and the deep void together form a scene steeped in Zen.

Zen Buddhism teaches that "form is emptiness, and emptiness is form." In internal painting, extensive use of white space is not laziness but a pursuit of the highest aesthetic. The presence of a single plum branch in winter proves that emptiness is not nothingness, but rather the state before all things manifest.
