Artistic Style No. 2

Several bamboo stalks emerge diagonally from the base of the pot, their nodes rendered in bold ink and leaves swept with a side brush. Between sparse and dense clusters, a gentle breeze seems to flow. The entire composition uses no color, relying solely on five shades of ink to convey the bamboo's upright strength and humble heart.

To paint bamboo, one must first have a clear image in mind. Within the confined space of inside painting, the bamboo's form is both compressed and extended; each stroke must capture its shape while revealing its underlying structure.
